Suzanne Calvino, Patient Coordinator in Oncology, has been working at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth for 43 years. In her role, she helps new patients schedule appointments over the phone… and she makes many new friends in the process!

It’s hard to feel anything but happy in Suzanne’s presence. Her warm smile and bubbly personality shine, and her mere presence lifts your spirits. She seems to know just what each patient needs to feel comfortable and cared for.

Recently, Suzanne received the Core Values Employee Recognition Award, which is given to someone at BID-Plymouth who exemplifies the Hospital’s core values of integrity, respect, teamwork, excellence, and trust. She was nominated by her peers, who had this to say about their dear colleague:

“Patients appreciate her personal touch and compassion when navigating the health care system. She exemplifies the core values and is very deserving of this award.”

“We are so blessed to have her! Having such a trustworthy and caring person to work with is so important to the Cancer Center.”

“Her ability to connect with the patient, reassure them, display kindness and compassion, and provide a feeling of safety occurs in every interaction she has. She is an example to all.”

Suzanne is a treasure, and BID-Plymouth is fortunate to have such a truly lovely person representing the #FacesofBIDPlymouth.
